Taste of London Celebrates World Class Cuisine with
Biggest International Line-Up to Date
This year’s Taste
of London restaurant festival will celebrate the best of world class cuisine
with a host of new international features and the most impressive line-up of Michelin
starred restaurants and world renowned chefs in the show’s nine year history,
taking place between 21 and 24 June in London’s Regent’s Park.
The capital’s
largest open air food and drink festival will welcome a raft of
international talent including Wolfgang Puck, Nuno Mendes, Bruno Loubet and David Chang to name
just a few. New food trends will be discovered as chefs from around the world
take to the AEG Theatre to showcase international flavours, collaborating and
going head to head with culinary masters from different cultures.
Internationally
celebrated chef, Wolfgang Puck, is looking forward to visiting the capital this
summer: "We all know London is one of the great food cities of the
world. We're all very excited to
be participating in Taste of London.”
Restaurants set to make their Taste of London debut include Jason
Atherton’s award winning Pollen Street
Social, Bar Boulud (Dean Yasharian),
Whitechapel Gallery (Angela
Hartnett), The Corner Room (Nuno
Mendes), Barbecoa (Jamie Oliver
& Adam Perry Lang) and newly launched Iberica
Canary Wharf (Cesar Garcia) and Cinnamon
Soho (Vivek Singh).
Celebrating
London’s vibrant restaurant scene, Taste of London will help set the stage for
a truly international summer, boasting a total of 11 Michelin stars with a line
up including Le Gavroche, Gauthier Soho, Rhodes 24, Club Gascon, Petrus,
Maze, Benares and Tamarind.
Jason Atherton is one of many chefs looking forward to staring alongside
so many of London’s best chefs and those flying in from overseas for the show:
“London is without doubt the world’s number one when it comes to finding
quality cuisine from all around the world. Where else could you find as many Japanese
and Vietnamese restaurants as French and Italian? It’s remarkable and Taste of
London is a brilliant opportunity for people to enjoy a flavour of what London
will be serving up to the rest of the world this summer.”
Over 50,000 visitors
can expect to dine from 40 of the capital's top restaurants, serving a mix of Asian, European and South American cuisine, enjoy
international flavours from Malaysia, Brazil,
Peru and the Caribbean and pick
up the latest ingredients from 200 quality food and drink producers.
British Airways will once again be offering
first class service at its Executive Club Lounge whilst Laurent-Perrier champagne
master classes promise to delight the senses with bespoke ‘tout les sens’ masterclass
sessions involving champagne, food and flowers.
