Taste of London...The Secret Garden

Socialise in style at this summer’s Taste of London in The Secret Garden

This year’s Taste of London will celebrate the best of world class cuisine with a host of new international features and the most impressive line-up of Michelin starred restaurants and chefs in its history. If this wasn’t enough culinary temptation, Taste of London can reveal that The Secret Garden will be open at the restaurant festival in London’s Regent’s Park between 21st and 24th June.

The Secret Garden is the most glamorous place to dine this summer and a rare opportunity to get backstage access to some of the world’s best chefs including Ashley Palmer-Watts (Dinner), Jason Atherton (Pollen Street Social) and Jacob Kenedy (Bocca di Lupo) to name but a few. Located through beautiful ivy archways, the summery oasis will also play host to a raft of tasty treats including a Laurent-Perrier Rose Champagne reception, private cocktail bar, exclusive food tastings and top tips and foodie insights from world renowned chefs.

The renowned Shaker team will be treating Secret Garden ticket holders to its best and tastiest cocktail blends. Whether you are dancing away to one of the live bands or DJ sets playing on the bandstand, chilling in the alfresco lounge area or sampling a tasty treat, Shaker will have a cocktail to suit.
This year’s Secret Garden is packed full of foodie fun including the ‘Slow Food, Forgotten Food Roulette Wheel’, a life size roulette wheel which visitors spin to discover a forgotten or endangered ingredient from its ‘British Ark of Taste’. Under the watchful eye of Francesco Mazzei (L'Anima), visitors then get the chance to turn this ingredient into a canapé for their fellow guests to enjoy.
The Secret Garden is celebrating the London street food trend with the arrival of The Bowler, a pop-up restaurant accessible exclusively to Secret Garden ticket holders. Visitors can taste The Bowler’s bespoke menu including its renowned meatballs made from free range British meat and quality ingredients, all served from the quirky grass-covered Bowler Street Food Van.

They’ll also be intimate Q&As with a host of world-renowned chefs and restaurateurs including Martin Morales (founder of Ceviche), Jacob Kenedy (Bocca di Lupo) and Atul Kochhar (Benares), who will ready to share their best kept kitchen secrets and top tips.

Ticket holders will also be treated to an array of mouthwatering mini master classes including Brazilian chocolate tasting from Samantha Aquim, a Peruvian Pisco masterclass by Ceviche, a Gaucho Malbec wine tasting, top tips for barbequing from Sebastian La Rocca and the Barbecoa butchers and a Rowley Leigh Q&A and book signing courtesy of FT Weekend.

Hayley and Kate from The Little Kitchen LDN will be attending on Thursday evening so be sure to say hello if you see us!
